Climate Resilience Platform

Sveti Nikole faces intensifying climate challenges — heatwaves, irregular precipitation, and pressures on water and agricultural systems — that directly affect food security, economic stability, and community well-being. Recognizing the urgency, municipal officials, supported by SmartUp – Social Innovation Lab, have joined the EU-funded Pathways2Resilience initiative to co-design locally driven adaptation pathways.

This Climate Resilience Strategy builds upon the P2R Baseline Assessment and reflects a shared vision developed through participatory processes including citizen surveys, multi-stakeholder workshops, and consultations. It guides long-term adaptation planning, investment prioritization, and institutional strengthening to ensure sustainable livelihoods, safer communities, and resilient local ecosystems.
